The Gunman's Mother

The kind of job I now do makes me watch CNN effortlessly, although not audible, I get to see the reaction on people's faces as they speak.

 Emotions ranging from tears to anger, pain, and headlines from Putin invades Ukraine and more recently, Uvalde, Texas.

I had mentally taken note of Shireen Abu the Al-Jazeera journalist who was killed while on duty at West Bank, Jerusalem 2 weeks ago and now this.

How did Salvador Ramos become so brazen as to 'blow up' his grandmother's brain? Was he watching loads of violent 'entertainment'? Did you even hear the fact that he played melancholy music whilst shooting? 🙆 How about the message he sent a friend via #Instagram about his plan to 'shoot up" an elementary school (me thinks that guy should be apprehended)🤦 He even told a teacher 'good night' before shooting her 😟

Oh! Then I saw Salvador's mum being interviewed. She wept and said, "forgive me, forgive my son". Not only did she lose her son, her mother as well went for it and I'm sure the wrath of the community is against her: especially now that the affected families are aggrieved with the police for not responding earlier🤦🤦

Is this a fault of the mother? Will we ever know? What went through the 4th graders minds knowing they would be shot too? Why wasn't the back door of the class locked? If the gunman Salvador had escaped after shooting, did he really think he'd live a normal life thereafter? Have you ever thought about how short life regardless of how you pass out of it? I don't think the Uvalde County of Texas was/is lenient with security as we can see that policemen were on ground before the incident. I mean, how many schools in Nigeria has even a gateman? 

Pls, don't know God because you are scared of dying (See Heb.2:14-15). Every one of us will have to leave this world one way or the other just like we came or the metamorphosis from Egg to Pupa to Lava to Adult. Or even as is the case with every living thing MrNigerD

The conclusion of the matter is this; there is no security in this world. Sir JoeBiden will be visiting a mass shooting scene in the space of 2weeks. Last week, it was a church/mall that was invaded with sprays of bullets. We don't know whose mental health issues will 'blow up' another person's brain or whose violence-entertaining indulgence would bring untold pain to a community. This isn't to put you on edge but to awaken to the reality that nothing is as secure as knowing the Lord.

Do you know Him? If you don't, please open Romans 10:9-10 to begin the process. Read the Book of John, join a Bible-believing church. And watch Him (Jesus) take over from there.

P.S: No one saves eternally like Jesus.
